Kate Stimson

Kate Stimson, a native of Dumas, Arkansas, majored in music history at Hollins College, where she studied piano with Donald Bolger. She earned the MM in piano performance, studying with Daniel Fletcher, at the University of Memphis. She teaches piano at Rhodes College and maintains a private studio at Circle Music Center, both in Memphis, Tennessee. A member of the Greater Memphis Music Teachers Association, she has served as president of that organization and was named GMMTA Teacher of the Year in 2010. Recipient of the TMTA Distinguished Service Award in 2011, Ms. Stimson served as TMTA President 2013-2015. In addition to music, her interests include travel, dance, and cooking.
